Battery Options in Xiaomi SU7
Xiaomi’s SU7 offers cost-effective options with lower trims featuring batteries from BYD, specifically using an LFP unit. On the other hand, the higher trims incorporate larger battery packs sourced from CATL, utilizing NMC technology. Considering the substantial weight of electric car batteries, the Xiaomi SU7 has a curb weight of 1,980 kilograms for the base model and 2,205 kilograms for the top-end variant. The lower variant achieves a top speed of 210 km/h, while the higher variant can reach an impressive 265 km/h.
Xiaomi’s Smartphone-Car Integration
Xiaomi is going to use its new operating system, Hyper OS, in the SU7. What’s intriguing is that they had recently introduced Hyper OS for their smartphones. This could mean that Xiaomi’s smartphones and cars might use the same Hyper OS platform.
Xiaomi SU7 Electric Car Price
In China, the starting price for the Xiaomi SU7 is around $27,800 (approximately 22.8 lakh INR), while the top-end trim will be priced at about $48,200 (around 39.3 lakh INR).
